Character has received an informal approach from a "US toy company." Discussions are at a very early stage. Contemporaneously, Character announced that the buoyant trading experienced in its Toys & Games division has continued into the NewYear. As a result, Character will achieve a pretax profit in excess of Â£4m for the half year, a figure which had previously been theforecast for the year as a whole! Althoughthe shares have now risen 97% from our original recommendation last December, Character is shaping up to be one of the top performers of 2003. Keep buying. ...
