Aquarius Platinum - Another rise in platinum price

Aquarius announced sparkling interim results, for the six months to 31 December, with pretax profit more than doubling from US$9.4m to US$19.6m, achieved largely thanks to a 50% increase in the production of Platinum Group Metals (PGM) to 180,291 ozs.  The results unveiled no other major news, although the rise in the price of Platinum, up from US$824 at the time of our main recommendation in January, to the current US$897 is a strongly positive development.    Broker, Numis, notes that the basket price of  PGM now stands at US$700 / oz, compared with US$546 in the above reporting period, while the US$ / Rand exchange rate, previously unfavourable to Aquarius because of the US$ decline, has barely mov ...
