Experienced gold bugs will tell you that the juiciest part of investing in a fledgling gold explorer is usually when it has just started producing, a point at which analysts ascribe a much higher value to its reserves and resources, while welcoming its early steps towards self-sustainability. One recent AIM debutante which may be benefiting from this phenomenon is Frontier Mining, whose shares have virtually tripled since being placed on AIM at 15p last September.
