Self-storage firm Big Yellow has won planning permission to develop a new site in Fulham, London, which will comprise 139,000 sq. ft. of net self-storage accommodation when complete – its biggest store yet. The company hopes it will open in Autumn 2007, with a total capital expenditure of £16.8m. Big Yellow has also acquired a 115 year lease on a 4.5 acre property in central Manchester, which it plans to develop into a mixed use scheme, including a 75,000 sq. ft. self-storage centre.
