Shares in Griffin Mining jumped sharply after it announced a very encouraging set of exploration results at its Caijiaying zinc and gold mine in Northern China. The highlights of the various samples include nearly 23 metres at a grade of 8.4 g/t gold and 6.4% zinc and 8.8 metres at 19.2g/t gold and 7.7% zinc. Broker Collins Stewart points out that these results came from an intersection right underneath the current mine and would therefore be accessed later in the operation’s life. The results also suggest that the gold mineralization at Caijiaying is both larger and of higher grade than Griffin’s resource estimates suggested.
