Carter & Carter has made an offer to acquire professional education services firm BPP, 704p and has already acquired Schroder Investments’19.3% stake at 725p a share. BPP has rejected the offer on valuation grounds but has invited Carter to meet with it for further discussions. Although the shares fell on the news they remain considerably above last October’s main recommendation price of 675p. Await developments. ...
