In the context of ongoing uncertainty in financial markets, results from London Capital were impressive, with high volatility  boosting its main spread betting business. For the year to 31 December revenue rose 57% to £29.6m, while pretax profit increased 35% to £12.6m. Eps before goodwill rose 31% to 23.1p while the dividend was upped 69% to 11p. In spite of investing £2.5m in IT for new trading platforms, net cash still increased from £10.3m to £12.6m.
