Shares in Telecom Plus rose sharply back up to 340p after it released a strong IMS covering trading for the Q3 to 31 December. This revealed customer numbers rising 19,082 to 258,840 and the number of services provided increasing 65,000 to 723,427, driven by high energy prices and tough economic times, which has increased the tendency for customers to shop around for better deals. Meanwhile Telecom Plus also noted a record number of distributors signing up. Interestingly, this growth and a continued strong outlook has persuaded the firm to double the number of full-time employees over the next three years.The balance sheet remains strong with net cash increasing from £28.9m to £36.4m.
