Results were well telegraphed by Tarsus' year-end update but the shares still spiked towards 12 month highs. For the year to 31 December, sales rose 35% to £57.5m, while adjusted pretax profit rose 36% to £14.6m. Net debt fell 10% to £30.7m, beating expectations. This has given it the confidence to acquire the remaining 20% of its US medical business, MCI, for £6.6m, as well as maintaining the 4p final dividend, giving 6p for the year.Tarsus reports across three geographical territories: Europe, US and Emerging Markets. Europe sales rose 14% to £26.7m, boosted by favourable forex swings and the inclusion of its large biennial event Labelexpo Brussels (sales up 14%), although France was weaker.
