Shares in Ultra quickly soared over 150p to a new high of 1524p after the defence electronics firm unveiled strong results. For the year to 31 December, revenues rose 26% to £651m, while pretax profit increased 24% to £89.5m. Eps rose 20% to 96.4p, while net debt fell sharply from £64m to £29m, leaving £129m un-utilised borrowing facilities. All divisions performed well. Aircraft & Vehicle Systems saw 6% growth in operating profit to £20.9m and future growth is expected to come from kitting out the new Boeing 787, Airbus 400M and Gulfstream G650 aircraft production programmes.
