For a company that makes millions of small but essential components made from plastic, fibre and foam, Essentra might sound a dull company but the shares have soared from our 556p tip in February ‘13 to hit new high of 924p.Final results were exemplary with revenues rising 20% to £798m, operating profit gaining 23% to £130.4m and eps increasing 22% to 38p. Net debt increased from £164m to £217m (net debt: ebitda 1.3 times) due to acquisitions.
