The euphoria in new issues appears to have reached fever pitch with Boohoo.com, 63p, a Manchester-based online retailer of “trend led clothing” to “fashion forward females,” commanding a nose bleed valuation of £712m in early dealings even though it’s only expected to make a pretax profit of £14.2m in the year to February. That would put Boohoo on a prospective PE of 67 times and is likely to trigger renewed interest in a sector that also includes Asos, 5410p and N Brown, a multi-channel clothing retailer, which already features twice in our TMI Trader Portfolio. ...
