The shares moved higher after homewares retailer Dunelm announced a 70p special dividend, while abandoning its net cash position and committing to a net debt / EBITDA target of 0.25-0.75x. This opens the way for further returns and Barclays estimates a future total yield of 6-7%.With former CEO Will Adderley back in his old position there is more urgency in returning the powerful momentum seen when it first floated and interims unveiled a commitment to “grow sales by 50% over the medium term,” a maximum of five years.
