UK self-storage has been a happy hunting ground for TMI with Big Yellow, 744p (high of 843p) and Lok n Store, which spiked to a high of 370p before settling at 319p, having performed well since our respective tips at 393p in May ’13 and 211p in June ’14. Shares in the third company in this sector, FTSE-250 rated Safestore, have also enjoyed a rising trend and we found its CEO and CFO, Frederic Vecchioli and Andy Jones, in fine form when we spoke with them over the month.Safestore currently operates 95 wholly owned stores in the UK and another 24 in Paris, with a maximum lettable area of 4.9m sq. ft., which puts it just behind Big Yellow on 5.1m sq. ft.
