Very occasionally investors are given the opportunity to make a great deal of money by purchasing growth shares at prices that offer outstanding value, often because of transient problems that muddy the short-term picture. In the case of Dunelm, a specialist out-of-town retailer of home textiles and homewares, the company has an unimpeachable track record with eps jumping 267% between 2007-2016 while the shares have risen more than nine-fold from trough-to-peak over the same period. But the combination of unhelpful weather, Brexit, one off spikes in infrastructure costs and an acquisition that will lose £10m this financial year before breaking even next, has caused the shares to fall nearly £4 from their peak.Neverthele ...
