One of the UK’s most successful shares has been price comparison website moneysupermarket.com, whose earnings have tripled from 5p to 15.7p between 2010-2016, while its shares have soared from 60p to 340p. Until recently it was the only pure play in this growing market but last November general insurer Esure (ESUR; 240p) de-merged its price comparison specialist Gocompare.com and the shares have quickly climbed from 72p to 92.75p.Gocompare was founded in 2006 by a team of former Confused.com employees, and its first markets were car and home insurance.
