Tarsus - Forward bookings tracking 10% ahead

The shares remain strong in the afterglow of last December’s largest ever acquisition of US-based travel organiser Connect Meetings, while final results for the year ended December 2016 continued the feel-good factor. Revenues, pretax profit and eps rose 13%, 13% and 20% respectively to £68.4m, £19.2m and 15.2p versus its last comparable year in 2014 (both being “off years” for its two largest biennial events, Dubai Airshow and Labelexpo Europe. On a like-for-like basis revenues rose 8%.In the US (56% sales) turnover rose 56% to US$38.1m versus 2014, beating forecasts of US$35.9m.
