Gocompare’s share price performance has, to quote Winston Churchill, been “a riddle wrapped up in a mystery inside an enigma.” The shares fell even though it announced sales, operating profit and eps ahead 2%, 22% and 20%, respectively, to £153m, £44m and 7.8p. Net debt rose £28m to £67.5m (net debt / EBITDA: 1.5x), albeit far less than the £45m spent on My Voucher Codes (£36.9m) and Energylinx (£8.7m), thanks to strong cash generation.  The performance was slightly flattered by a first time contribution from My Voucher Codes (£2.8m profit) but the core price comparison division still increased operating profit by 15% to £53.8m even though revenues fell 3. ...
