I’ve just come off a meeting with John Geddes, corporate development director and 23 year veteran at aviation services specialist, John Menzies. I am planning a full write up next time.The company provides ground services, such as managing passengers and handling luggage as well as air cargo services and into-plane fuelling on behalf of airlines and it operates in 198 airports across 34 countries. The company gained kudos by not only avoiding a dilutive share issue and/or excessive borrowings during the pandemic, but also emerging leaner than ever, generating £30m savings (29% head-count reduction alongside 15 loss-making stations (airports) closed, to go alongside £10m savings from an earlier reorganisation ...
