Shares in Segro came within a whisker of hitting £10 for the first time, making for a nice return after I originally bought in May 2018 at 616p.It’s not hard to see the attractions for new buyers given that Segro owns, manages and develops urban warehouses in prime locations in London, the South East and major European cities and will surely benefit further as Covid-19 fuels existing trends for greater convenience and online retailing and galvanises increased demand for storage space.Full year results revealed a 10.8% rise in pretax profit to £296.5m for eps of 25.4p, while adjusted NAV rose a sparkling 16% to 814p due to a 10.3% increase in the portfolio’s value driven by asset management, development ...
