Tool hire chain, Brandon, has raised £3.5m through a placing of justover 3m new shares with investors at 120p,  increasing its headroom for acquisition and greenfield development opportunities to around £9.5m.  Meanwhile, director, John Laycock has   taken advantage of investor interest to sell 1m shares, although he retains 8m (24.05%). Separately, Brandon has issued a tradingstatement, which noted that for the first six months organic growth isrunning into double digits, with both turnover and operating marginswell ahead of the same period last year.
