Photo-Me - Kiosk production accelerating sharply

Even after three broker upgrades since last July Photo-Me still beatexpectations for the year ended 30 April 2004, with pretax profit of £21.3m on turnover up 17% to £220m, while earnings were 4p.   Theturnaround from last year's loss was mainly down to the manufacturing division, which makes photo processing machines for photographic shops.  Turnover increased 109% to £78.6m, with broker, Evolution, estimating an operating profit contribution of £9m, thanks to a doubling of production of DKS digital minilabs to 1,300.   As digital camera usage is still growing exponentially demand for Photo-Me's photo processing machines remains strong and with manufacturing capacity boosted (and running costs reduced) ...
