After the excitement generated by its largest ever acquisition in May, UMECO's full year results contained few surprises, but were notable for chief executive, Clive Snowdon's, bullish comments regarding the continuing signs of recovery in the civil aerospace market. For the year ended 31 March UMECO, which provides valueadded distribution services to the aerospace and defence industries,saw a 2% increase in turnover to £184.5m and a slight fall in pretaxprofit from £10.2m to £9.6m, while  earnings were 25.4p.
