Shares in Z Group, which designs and markets software products to the mass market, has enjoyed a spectacular debut since being introduced to AIM by broker Panmure Gordon on 21 June at a price of 108p. The placing raised �2.55m net new money for the company, while the market cap. at the placing price was �21m. Z group�s strategy is to identify a market need for software products, which are "born global" and can be sold on the internet to any country in the world. While this may sound a touch grandiose, Z Group, which was only founded three years ago, has already developed three products, of which two have the potential to transform it into a much larger company.
