China Biodiesel, 106p Some investors may have grown weary of the number of Chinese companies flooding onto AIM with grandiose plans to milk their country’s extraordinary growth but China Biodiesel, which owns proprietary technology to manufacture biodiesel, really does have a decent story to tell. Its shares, which were introduced on 30 June by Evolution at 85p, in a placing which raised £6.6m net new money, were quickly snapped up by institutions and have since soared to a 25% premium. Founded in 2001, China Biodiesel claims to be the only manufacturer of biodiesel within the People’s Republic of China (PRC), with its sole production facility based in Longyan, in the Fujian province of the PRC.
