Sovereign Reversions, which provides finance to elderly homeowners through a mechanism known as equity release, is a likely beneficiary of the alarming lack of pension provision for the future that has been revealed in a recent Government study. The company, which was formed in 1992 under the old Business Expansion Scheme, has enjoyed significant expansion to the point where it now has a 13% share of this emerging market, which according to the Actuarial Profession is so undersupplied that it could grow several times over during the next few years.
