One of the more lucrative hunting grounds for investors has been the food snacking sector, with buy-and-build confectionery firm Glisten, 327p, having enjoyed a terrific four-fold increase in its share price since floating in late 2002 on the back of a number of bold and canny acquisitions. Another company following in its slipstream is Zetar, a confectionery and snack foods business, whose shares recently celebrated the company’s third acquisition to date and has been one of only a handful of shares to stay within touching distance of its high.
