Business exhibitions organiser Tarsus has released a pre-close update for the six month period ended 30 June, which noted that trading was in line with expectations with like-for-like revenue growth in excess of 12% for the period. Although full year results are expected to be heavily weighted towards the second half, the company noted that 80% of 2007 revenues are already contracted, compared with 73% at the same stage last year. In the United States the first major medical event in Orlando was significantly ahead of last year with revenues up 112%. The outlook for other major shows in Chicago in August and Las Vegas in December is also strong, while the Off Price show, held in February, achieved 3% underlying sales growth. ...
