Although sentiment is turning against mining stocks on fears that the Asian tiger economies will dampen growth in order to tackle their rampant inflation, the oil & gas boom goes on and on, stoked by OPEC inspired supply shortages and diplomatic fisticuffs between Iran and the US.If we had to choose just one stock to benefit from the sky-high prices it would be Dana Petroleum, an old TMI favourite, which has gradually built up a combination of low risk assets in the North Sea complemented by exciting exploration acreage elsewhere. Dana has already made three significant discoveries this year while average production is set to increase from just over 30,000 barrels oil equivalent per day (boepd) to between 40-45,000.
