Lavendon, the provider of powered access platforms such as scissor lifts, has announced that trading for the first five months to 31 May has increased 37% compared to this time last year, with operating margins continuing to improve. All regions saw good growth, with the largest side in the UK seeing turnover rise 30%, helped by the recent acquisition of the Platform Company. Elsewhere, Germany grew turnover by 5% helped by favourable currency movements while France and Belgium increased sales by 307% reflecting the acquisition of DK Rental.
