At its AGM, defence support services group Babcock noted that trading has started well and in line with earlier expectations, with market conditions remaining resilient. All its major long-term contracts and framework agreements are performing as planned in terms of expected volumes and financial returns. Highlights included a strong start in its key marine division, with increased demand for design work on the new aircraft program and for the Canadian submarine support contract. The warship support business has also started well, benefiting from the Royal Navy's continuous refit and upgrade projects.
