In a pre-close update ahead of its interim results, Cape noted that its underlying trading performance has been in line with management expectations and earlier guidance, while the headline results will also benefit from favourable exchange rate movements. Although it continues to experience some project delays in Australia due to adverse market conditions, this is more than offset by growth in the Middle East markets as shown by recent contract wins. All other regions are trading at or ahead of expectations. Meanwhile net debt has continued to reduce further, while with improving revenue visibility the Board is increasingly confident of the full year outcome.
