Shares in Photo-Me have soared nearly 50% since our update two issues ago, with the catalyst being final results ahead of expectations. Pretax profit rose 28% to £18m while eps increased 102% to 3.7p. Helped by £8.2m in advanced rental receipts for an investment property, net cash ballooned from £8.1m to £40.7m. The coin-operated photo-booth side led the way, reporting a 28% rise in operating profit to £21.2m. This business had 43,700 vending machines at the year-end, trading across 15 countries. Within that, 87% of its sites are located in just three territories - UK & Ireland, Japan and France - and the latter is by far the most profitable.
