Finding a successful formula in the world of fashion can bring staggering riches to London investors, a point vividly illustrated by FTSE-100 rated Burberry, 1579p, the 150-year-old British luxury brand, best known for its trench coats and trademark check, whose shares have soared from 225p in 2002 to over £15. During that same period Burberry has increased pretax profit from £90m to almost £300m, with much of the growth coming through a global push into rich overseas markets such as Russia, Asia and Latin America.
