B&M European Retail - To open another 60 stores this year

Shares in general value discount retailer B&M have enjoyed a terrific rise from last November’s tip price of 264p to the current 341p. The latest rally followed strong final results with turnover and pretax profit increasing 30% and 56% to £1,648m and £135m respectively. Adjusted eps was 10.3p (2014: 6.9p).The company, which sells 5,500 product lines including grocery and other products, such as homewares, toys, seasonal and back-to-school at multiple price points, grew like-for-like revenue 4.4%.
