Results were strong as usual with revenues rising 27% to £752m and pretax profit increasing 18% to £87m. Eps rose 17.4% to 84.5p, bang in line. Net cash was £65.4m.Within Retail, sales rose 21% to £502.5m (67% turnover) and profit increased 2% to £68.9m. The operating margin fell from 16.3% to 13.7% reflecting dual running of distribution centres but the rewards from greater capacity / efficiency will come through shortly. Like-for-like sales increased 12.7% against strong comparatives (2016: 11.3%) while an additional 154,000 sq ft. space was added through a net 18 new store openings in nine countries, including seven in Germany.
