Being new to market perhaps Footasylum’s management were unaware that they needed to update the market of a decision to ramp up investment and its implications for eps. For it was that rather than trading which scuppered the shares. Revenues for the year ended February grew 33% to £194.8m, well above forecasts for £183.3m. Digital revenue rose 41% to £59m (30% total), store revenue jumped 27% to £133.2m (68% total) while wholesale contributed a maiden £2.6m. By product category footwear sales rose 21%, apparel rose 50%, boosted by wholesale and own brand mix, while accessories increased 30%.
