Healthcare services group UDG announced two eps enhancing acquisitions for a combined consideration of up to US$82.4m.Larger of the two is Create NYC, a New York-based healthcare creative communications agency, offering sales and marketing services for international pharmaceuticals clients. The deal will cost US$17m up-front (around 2.5x operating profit) with a US$41.4m five year earn-out.The other purchase was of SmartAnalyst, a US-based strategic consulting and analytics business focused on pharmaceuticals and the biotech sector and particularly in the health economics and outcomes space.
