The old saying in gambling circles is that the house always wins but there are occasional exceptions when the customers go on a winning streak and this appears to have dented Plus500’s progress. The online provider of trading for Contracts for Difference stated that in recent weeks, most particularly the week ending 5th June, customer trading now represents a gain for customers and consequently revenue for Q2 stands at US$102.5m. Nevertheless, it expects customer trading to be neutral over time – i.e. they will eventually lose it all back to the house.
