It’s been tough going for property developers facing rising borrowing costs and reducing valuations. Nevertheless, Conygar has navigated the choppy waters fairly well with interim results for the six months ended March. NAV only fell £2.3m to £122.3m for NAV per share of 205p. The flagship development (and reason for my buy note) is its Island Quarter site in Nottingham. Having secured a £47.5m (3 year) agreement with Barclays Bank last December it has the funds to build out student accommodation (693 beds), targeted for completion May next year.
