A nicely timed write-up with results slightly ahead of expectations. Pretax profit rose 21.5% to £116.9m (3% above forecast) for eps of 109.5p (FY’23: 98p). The highlight was customer growth of 14% to just over 1 million, up from just 400,000 at the end of 2012! There was strong growth across the board with energy +10% to 1.68 million; broadband +6% to 375,000; mobile +18% to 466,000; and insurance +38% to 139,000. Mobile is expected to accelerate as a second mobile SIM will be included in the multi service bundle, but insurance is expected to be slightly lower than last year due to a temporary pause in sales to new customers whilst the products are reviewed by the FCA.
