At the time of YouGov’s interims and just four months before its year-end it had said 70% of forecast full year revenues had already been booked and given the expected first time contribution from its transformational GfK consumer panel business, I had every reason to believe it would meet full year expectations. But the best laid plans of mice and men… and less than three months after those interims it was forced to announce lower sales bookings than anticipated. This was exacerbated by revenues in its higher margin Data Products business “remaining slow,” declines in its fast-turnaround research services, plus “investment to set up for an acceleration in growth in H2.” Some revenues from GfK have also been moved back to 2025 ref ...
