Having hit a low of 224p shares in aerospace components distributor,Umeco recovered to 267p after solid interim results.  In the sixmonth period to end September  turnover fell 4% to £88m, butpretax profit increased 6% to £4.7m and earnings rose 9.3% to12.9p.  Encouragingly, net debt fell by £4.4m to £26.4m andgearing is now only 41%.In its component division, which supplies major European airframe,engine and hydraulic systems’ manufacturers with specialist parts,sales fell from £53.4m six months ago to £50.8m.  This decline ispartly because the business is more geared towards OEM production thanspares and repairs.
