As the chart on page 2 shows, shares in Synergy Healthcare, which provides linen management and surgical support services, such as the sterilisation of surgical instruments, have been stellar performers since joining AIM three years ago.  Much of the recent excitement stems from the realisation that Synergy will have increased its pretax profit ninefold from just over £1m to a forecast £9.3m in the four years to 31 March 2005. Earnings will have increased by 167% to 18.7p in the same period. These current year forecasts are hardly a flight offancy, but a cast iron certainty given that more than 90% of the budgetis already in the bag, due to the watertight nature of its contracts.
