Inter Link Foods has announced that it has enjoyed a positive start to its current financial year, with overall sales up 44.7% and like for like sales increasing 10.1% over the first four months. Highlights include news that its new bakery at Blackburn has started production on schedule, producing mince pies at a rate of up to 26,000 an hour. Orders for both its Christmas products and all year round ones are growing in line with expectations. Meanwhile, Inter Link’s program of consolidating some of its sites to reduce its cost base is also on track, with two sites planned for closure by next January.
