The shares firmed after an encouraging trading statement from escrow agent NCC, for the period to 26 October. The core escrow solutions side now has more than 11,400 beneficiaries and 6,200 agreements in the UK, while renewals are now forecast to be £6.8m this year. There are also positive signs from its escrow start-up operation in Germany where Gartner Consulting estimates that the addressable market is £88m-£102m, which is significantly higher than the £65m-£85m in the UK. Elsewhere, NCC’s testing solutions division has performed well with concerns over online security helping its order book rise to £1.7m.
