Photo-Me has announced the acquisition of AgfaPhoto’s wholesale labs business from the Administrator for Eu 9.1m (£6.1m). Given that AgfaPhoto was the only other player apart from Photo-Me capable of manufacturing wholesale labs (which do 20,000 prints per hour), Photo-Me effectively now has a monopoly in this area. No financial details were disclosed but broker Evolution estimates that AgfaPhoto was generating sales of Eu 30-35m (£21-£25m). Most recently, Photo-Me has announced the signing of an exclusive supply agreement for digital minilabs starting next year with CVS Pharmacy, the largest retail pharmacy in the USA, which has over 5,400 stores.Ahead of interim results, which are due out in th ...
