Tarsus has announced the acquisition of the intellectual property rights to the Packaging Summit from Landon, Farrey and Associates, Inc. for an initial US$359,000, which could rise to a maximum US$925,000 depending on future performance, including the achievement of a specified square meterage target. The Packaging Summit, which consists of the Packaging Summit conference, Packaging Services Expo and two other related events, will be held for the first time in May 2006. Tarsus’ managing director, Douglas Emslie, is hopeful that it will go on to become one of its top five events by size. In tough markets, the shares have encouragingly traded close to their high.
