One of our spring recommendations, technical contract staffer Morson, has enjoyed a good start to its quoted life with the shares recently hitting a high of 212p after being floated by Brewin Dolphin at 160p. It’s therefore not surprising to see a me-too technical staffing firm, Matchtech, also braving the markets and the response from investors has been similarly positive with its shares, which were introduced to AIM on 27 October by broker Arbuthnot at 310p a share, immediately achieving a useful 17% premium. This largely reflects the fact that like Morson, Matchtech is a well-established firm, which has a good recent track record to crow about.
