Russian-based gold miner Petropavlovsk (the former Peter Hambro Mining) has released Q3 production figures for the period to 30 September, which noted a 29% year-on-year increase to 123,600 oz while for the first nine months production is 346,200 oz. The group also reiterated that it remains on track to achieve 500,000 oz for the year. Production was strong at both its original mine at Pokrovskiy, where year-to-date production was 149,000 oz and also at Pioneer, where production doubled from 77,300 to 152,500 oz as full ramp up was achieved in September.
